What impact does each colour have?
31. Colour, an effective way of catching the eye of passers-by, is relatively cheap and easy to use. While interpretations may vary according to the country and local culture, certain connotations are universal.
Note: red is eye-catching. That’s why it is often used to announce sales and promotions.
How colour affects spatial perception ?
32. Use colour to transform spaces, just like you would at home. Use white or pastel tones in narrow windows, to make them appear wider.
33. Avoid overly dark backdrops, which create more reflections on the window, particularly if your premises is double glazed, as this can cause a mirror effect, making your merchandise invisible. This issue can be countered by using brighter lighting, but doing so consumes more energy.
